Martin Moser, over 30 years in the office of finance

I am Martin Moser, founder of The Strategy Circle. For over 30 years I have worked where the finance function and technology meet. Formative stations: PwC, Cognos, IBM, Oracle, and CCH Tagetik. I am ACCA-trained, an economist from LMU Munich, and an FSM-certified mediator. I am based in Arlesheim near Basel.

One observation runs through all those years. Companies spend money on digitalization and AI in the finance function, and the impact never arrives. The technology is rarely the problem. What is missing is the bridge between the people who steer the business and the people who build the systems.

That bridge is my work. I understand the finance function from three decades of practice, and I understand the technology behind it. I translate between both camps and bring them onto one shared picture. As a mediator, I bring the parties to one table, especially in family-owned structures, even where interests diverge.

The Strategy Circle is built lean by design. I work as a single advisor with a pool of experts I bring in by project. The strategy stays in one pair of hands, and the right specialists handle the deep technical delivery.

My standard is simple. I tie my fee to the impact. If the work brings you no demonstrable benefit, I tell you so.
